The wide, flat muscle that separates the chest and abdominal cavities is called the diaphragm. The diaphragm forms when a fetus is at 8 weeks’ gestation. We are always on the look out for other families like ours. From the moment we learned about her diagnosis, everything changed. It’s hard to compare our experiences with “normal” pregnancies/babies/families. It’s just different. We search the web and devor blogs about babies like Ady, but to sit down and talk with parents that have walked that road is comforting, educating and just plain nice. continue reading »
